Both the size of the ZIP file and the MD5 are correct. Same error. Saw this and was quick enough to grab a screen shot. This is the original error that comes just before the disk check error. Could it be the version of ESX or vCenter? I'm seeing several people are having trouble with Ubuntu and the Host SMBus controller not enabled. However when following:

piix4_smbus 0000:00:007.3: Host SMBus controller not enabled!
You can fix this by adding some extra line to
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf.
blacklist i2c_piix4
I'm unable to edit the file because the error throws it into readonly. Any more thoughts?
