Does the datastore where you save the .vmdk become the datastore against which you are running your test?
storperf> yes, since VM is generating I/Os to .vmdk you attached to I/O Analyzer, you expect to see I/O activity on the datastore which stores .vmdk.
So your configuration is
Host1 : I/O Analyzer VM1 -- Works as a controller VM
Host2: I/O Analyzer VM2 -- Works as a worker VM -- .vmdk -> datastore1
Host3: I/O Analyzer VM3 -- Works as a worker VM -- .vmdk -> datastore2
Host4: I/O Analyzer VM4 -- Works as a worker VM -- .vmdk -> datastore3
Using firefox, you access VM1 and add host 1,2,3,4 and add workers VM2, VM3, VM4.
That is what you want to do. I guess.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
